Eudocia joined Alliance Music Therapy in November of 2020. Originally from Seattle, Washington, Eudocia first moved to the Twin Cities while obtaining her Bachelor’s degree in History from Macalester College in St. Paul.  Upon graduation, she moved to New York for several years and became an ASCAP-licensed songwriter and performer, recording and touring as a professional rock keyboardist and guitarist.  During her time in New York, Eudocia learned about the music therapy profession from friends and colleagues.  When she researched further information about the field, her personal and professional experiences as a music lover and performer; wellness advocate, and therapeutic practitioner, coalesced into the realization she wanted to become a music therapist.  Eudocia returned to the Twin Cities to complete a Bachelor’s in Music from the University of Minnesota and obtained her Master’s Equivalency in Music Therapy from Augsburg University while fulfilling her six-month clinical internship with Lifeworks Services in Eagan.

Throughout her varied professional and clinical experiences, Eudocia has been able to meaningfully connect with people of diverse backgrounds and ages and provide valuable help and care.  Eudocia has clinical work experience working with individuals with: Attention Deficit Disorders, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Dementia/Alzheimer’s, Anxiety Disorders, Learning and Intellectual Disabilities, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, Traumatic Brain Injury, Stroke, and Parkinson’s Disease.  Additionally, Eudocia has had the opportunity to travel abroad to the Chunmiao Pediatric Burn Camp in Chongqing, China to implement transcultural music therapy techniques utilizing community-based improvisation, songwriting, and performance interventions among children who had sustained severe burn injuries.  Eudocia has also led music therapy-based yoga groups, and created a reference book utilizing yoga and music for client and caretaker use, designed to serve all ages and abilities.

Eudocia is a lifelong musician and a passionate music lover of nearly all genres.  She was trained as a classical pianist as a child by her grandmother.  Eudocia has loved rock music her entire life as well and became a guitarist and bassist in high school, later playing in a wide variety of jazz, rock, folk, and classical ensembles during her college life as well as becoming a professional performer.  Most recently, Eudocia has learned and expanded upon vocal and percussion techniques and continually enjoys trying out new instruments and styles of musical expression.  Outside of work, you can find Eudocia spending time with family and friends, attending music concerts of all kinds, playing music by herself and with others for pure enjoyment, traveling, and being absorbed in a novel.  Eudocia is a total animal lover and outdoor enthusiast who enjoys all of the beauty that Minnesota summers and autumn have to offer.

And she is so wonderful...you hired a great person. She is very respectful and [Client] loves the days he has his sessions with her.
