Michelle's personal therapeutic approach is eclectic, prioritizing a person-centered philosophy with mindfulness-based technique. Michelle consider the client’s unique needs first and adapts her methods accordingly.

Michelle  joined the Alliance Music Therapy team in January 2024 as an independent contractor to assist in furthering our team’s reach and expand the populations we provide services for.   

 

Michelle works with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, older adults with cognitive differences, and children with varying medical and palliative needs. Michelle has experience working in hospice with adults, memory care and continuum of care facilitates with older adults, in group settings with individuals with Parkinson’s disease, and with children and young adults with different cognitive and developmental abilities. Music therapy is the perfect way for her to combine her musical gifts with a passion for helping others live fuller lives. Outside of work, Michelle is a devoted yogi and enjoy both practicing and teaching yoga.

Michelle brings a child centered energy and vibrancy to every music therapy session! Her attentive nature and willingness to follow each child's lead makes for a meaningful and therapeutic experience every time, as she creatively caters to and celebrates the child's unique set of abilities! It is evident that Michelle values each person she comes in contact with and is intentional with every interaction.​
